Things have been so crazy busy lately. So much so, I’m not really sure where to start.
Hmm…
I guess I’ll just go with what this blog is really supposed to be about… my job.
Well, when I got my new job at The Restaurant Group (TRG) I had planned on staying at The Corporation to keep my foot in the door and hang on to my insurance. Training at TRG was intensive and pretty much required I not work at The Corp. around my training shifts, so I told my scheduling manager back at The Corporation to stop scheduling me until I got back to him with my new availability.
The first problem is that the longer I’m at TRG the less I want anything at all to do with The Corporation.
The second came late in my week of training, when I had time to kill between training sessions I headed around the corner to The Corporation to say hi to a couple friends. While there I bumped in to scheduling manager who said something along the lines of “Hey Lill, I didn’t know what to give you for shifts next week because I hadn’t heard from you so I just put you on your usual shifts all week.” He begins to walk away…
“Um, what? I can’t work that. I can’t work any of those shifts.”
The manager temper flares, “Well I didn’t know what you wanted because I never heard from you!”
Calmly, “I know, because I can’t work yet.”
“Alright, whatever.”
*sigh* I hate that place.
I also still haven’t called to let them know when I can work for them again.
I just can’t stand the idea of how they treat their employees and customers. Besides, I live in MA… we have free healthcare. =)
